Skye Trace is a new luxury boutique horse barn in Potomac, MD for 16 horses, opening in the Fall of 2027. We are seeking qualified exceptional barn staff to operate and maintain our high-end equine facility.

Barn Manager

• Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
• Furnished Apartment, utilities included (must live on site)
• Salary: $52,000 - $65,000/year (commensurate with experience)
• Benefits: 100% covered medical, stall board discount, paid vacation
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years professional horse barn experience
• Fall 2027 start
• Responsibilities include defining schedules and managing a small barn staff for daily turnout, feeding, stall cleaning, pasture management, grounds and facility maintenance, tack cleaning and horse grooming, and providing support and services to boarders, club members, and other customers. Monitor horse health and maintain a safe environment in the barn and pastures and manage pasture rotation and maintenance. Must have experience operating farm tractors. Set up and maintain vendor relationships and schedules for feed, hay, farrier, veterinary care and other necessary supplies and services. Work closely with Skye Trace owners for hiring and staff management and definition and execution of processes and schedules. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and proven commitment to horse welfare.

Farm Hand(s)

• Position Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available
• Benefits: 100% covered medical (full-time only)
• Pay: $16 - $21/hour (commensurate with experience)
• Experience: Must have experience handling horses
• Fall 2027 start
• Responsibilities include daily turnout, stall cleaning, grounds and facility maintenance, trail maintenance, tack cleaning, horse grooming, supporting the needs of horses, boarders, and other customers.  Operate farm equipment including tractors and utility vehicles. Help ensure horse health and safe environments in the barn and pastures.
